Pelvic Ultrasound This exam will allow the physician to view your ovaries, uterus and any follicles (holds a women’s eggs) prior to you ovulating. This is also a good way to check for any ovarian cysts or uterine fibroids.
Hysterosalpingogram or Laparoscopic Procedure
In addition, we may want to evaluate the patency (or openness) of your fallopian tubes using one of these procedures. This can be evaluated laparoscopically (using a camera through the belly button) or with a hysterosalpingogram (a special x-ray that is taken after dye has been injected into the uterus).
Based on the findings of your particular situation, you may be a candidate for other tests, certain medications to improve ovulation or even surgery.
